Chiesa di San Bernardo
- R_SOAVE
The Church of San Bernardo replaces an old building.
According to tradition, this building was recognized by Pope Lucius III during his journey to the Benedictine Abbey after Badia Calavena: a red cross was painted by the pope on a wall. In the year 1924, this parish church was created.
This church has a nave with four altars. There is a fresco by Adolfo Mattielli, a renowned painter from Soave. The parish church is named after Saint Bernard of Clairvaux and is under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Verona.
The Church lies on the slope of the mountain, with a great view of Valtramigna: the pastor saw the Battle of Arcole from there in 1796.
The traditional festival takes place on the penultimate Sunday of August.
