The church is situated on a spur of the mountain, overlooking the Tramigna valley: it is said that from here, in November 1796, the chaplain Don Biasio Ferro was able to describe the various moments of the battle of Arcole.
The current building dates back to the first half of the 19th century and replaces an older structure that, according to tradition, was consecrated by Pope Lucius III during his journey to the Benedictine abbey of Badia Calavena: on a wall of the older building, incorporated into the 19th-century reconstruction, there is a red consecration cross painted, which is indicated as a sign of the pope's passage.
The building is a single-nave structure with 4 side altars and features some frescoes from 1954 by the painter from Soave, Adolfo Mattielli.
