The first record of the Church of San Giovanni Battista dates back to 1529, the year it was established as a rectory, but it is likely that the church dates back to the 11th or 12th century. The original building was in rural Romanesque style, with a single nave and truss ceiling. During the 19th century, the church was rebuilt in its current neoclassical forms, although the bell tower from 1790 remained intact.
The facade is gabled. Two pairs of Doric order pilasters support the frieze decorated with festoon motifs and frame the portal topped by a pediment, above which is an opening of semicircular shape.
Internally, along the sides of the nave, four lateral semi-chapels open up, each housing a minor altar: the altars of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Blessed Virgin on the western side, the altar dedicated to Saints Anthony the Abbot and Roch, and the Altar of the Sacred Heart on the opposite side. Near the entrance, in the first bay of the eastern side, there is a niche where the baptismal font was originally placed. The sacristy is located on the eastern flank of the presbytery.
An opening on the eastern side of the nave allows for a connection with the chapel dedicated to St. Teresa and St. Giovanni Bosco, which is built against the side of the nave.
The internal decorative painting is a 20th-century work by the painter Alessandro Zenatello.
