The church is first mentioned in a document from 1224.
The façade is neoclassical and resembles that of the Cathedral of Cologna Veneta in a simplified form, without a pronaos, featuring a stone base that supports four half-columns holding up the tympanum, at the top of which there is a metal Cross. In the two lateral compartments, there are two niches containing the statue of Saint Peter on the left and that of Saint John the Baptist on the right.
Internally, the church has a single nave, with four side chapels. The main altar, a masterpiece by the Bonazza brothers from Padua, dates back to 1760 and comes from the cathedral of Cologna Veneta.
Among the canvases preserved inside the church, some come from the oratory of San Donato; the most beautiful depict: the passage of San Giuseppe by L. Rizzi from 1891, the Holy Family and the Samaritan by C. Pasqualotto (18th century), and a copy of Santa Teresa d'Avila by Sebastiano Ricci (18th century).
