The Church is located in the center of the village and constitutes one of the scenic backdrops of the main square of S. Martino.
The first record of the church dates back to 1146, the year it was subjected to the Benedictine abbey of S. Zeno Maggiore in Verona, although the building was probably founded in the Carolingian period (9th-10th century) by the Franks, particularly devoted to S. Martino.
Between 1740 and 1744, the original church was demolished and rebuilt in neoclassical forms, and it underwent an expansion in 1953. Today, the building features a neoclassical facade facing west. The floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross, with a single rectangular nave, a transept with apse-ended arms, a quadrangular raised presbytery consisting of three steps, and ending with a semicircular apse. The internal space of the hall is covered by a barrel vault with lateral ribs, rhythmically spaced by smooth transverse ribs, while the presbytery and the transept arms are topped by simple barrel vaults. Along the nave, there are six altars in baroque style. The flooring of the hall is made of red Verona marble and white stone, while the presbytery floor is made of multicolored marbles.
The apse basin is decorated with a painting depicting the "Good Shepherd" executed by the painter Giuseppe Resi in 1963.
The bell tower is attached to the eastern wall of the southern transept and is partially integrated into the volume of the sacristy.
