Born from the will of four intrepid friends who have made the uniqueness of their land their banner.
A grape, a wine: the DURELLO. Hard as the rock it clings to, volcanic like the aromas it releases as soon as you uncork it.
The vineyards dedicated to the production of their wines are high-altitude vineyards (from 430 to 500 m above sea level) located on the slope of Monte Madarosa, a volcanic cone with a strong presence of ferruginous marls, volcanic ashes, and clay. The soil is optimal for ensuring the roughness and mineral character of the durello wine.
The project is to tell the story of a territory through one of its most beloved products: wine. The Maltraversi family governed the Alpone valley from 900 to 1200, leaving numerous traces including the "Castle" of the district of San Giovanni Ilarione, now a parish church.
Between 2011 and 2014, they completed the three-year plan for converting the company into a biological enterprise. The organic system involves a strict protocol for the safeguarding and protection of the territory and care of the product in which the owners strongly believe.
