A territory is not only understood as a geographical location, composed of nature and landscape, but it is also a homogeneous collection of history, traditions, and culture, expressed through its artistic and historical heritage, culture, traditions, and typical local products.
Arcole is famous worldwide for the battle that took place in November 1796 between Napoleon's troops and the Austrian forces. Here we find an obelisk, unique in Italy, commissioned by Napoleon to commemorate the battle, and a museum that recalls all the feats of the great leader. But we also find a museum that collects documents from a civilization that has now disappeared, the agrarian one. Furthermore, there are villas, palaces, churches, and oratories that are sometimes unknown or undervalued. But Arcole is also famous for its typical products, such as asparagus, wine, and radicchio.
Visit the “On the Traces of Arcole” website, and you can explore 8 routes that extend across the Arcole territory. Many maps are available in different formats, depending on whether you wish to venture on foot, by bike, or even by car.
With Google Maps or the Outdooractive app, you can set off whenever you want for your chosen route.
