Ancient noble villa belonging to the Manara family since the 16th century, in 1683, following the death of Giò Geronimo Manara and the previous marriage between Vittoria Manara and Licurgo Orti, the property was inherited by the Orti family, which unified the two families under a single surname, Orti Manara.
The complex is located at the beginning of the Mezzavilla district of Marcellise, on the right side of the main road, inside a high enclosing wall, which continues toward and along the Progno, up to the small tower, then returns to the north of the villa towards the street, enclosing the ancient brolo.
The main building may have been constructed at the end of the 15th century and later expanded and elevated in the 16th century. The façade of the noble palace appears asymmetrical in its openings, as it was expanded westward compared to the original structure.
The side façades and the northern front are more robust and protected, giving a certainly 16th-century character to the villa.
The rectangular courtyard is surrounded by a high wall, which separates the internal, noble space from the external area of daily work. The small tower of Orti at the limits of the brolo of the Manara villa dates back to the 12th century.
