The villa is located in the Motta area, at the foot of a small hill where the castle of San Bonifacio of the Motta family was situated.
Dating back to the late 1700s – early 1800s, it was owned by the Scudellari family, along with a wide array of fields and buildings; however, the coat of arms above the entrance portal of the palace does not correspond to this family.
The main facade is oriented towards the west, spanning two floors plus the granary and featuring four windows per floor. The architectural elements visible on the first floor can be dated to the late 18th – early 19th century; the arched entrance portal with the famous frieze, on the other hand, seems to display forms from the 16th-17th century.
The structure of the building has the typical layout of a Venetian house with a central hall and other rooms opening on its sides. On the east side, the courtyard opens onto a sort of terrace overlooking the underlying countryside, flanked by porticos on the sides.
