Zambon Vulcano

The particular conformation of the territory of Roncà, in the eastern Verona area, has its remote origins in a warm and vital ocean that about 50 million years ago was disrupted by three powerful volcanic eruptions that, with their shaping force, gifted us with the characteristic mountains we now recognize as Duello, Calvarina, and Crocetta. 

These places rich in history and peasant traditions provide the backdrop to the indissoluble bond of the women and men of the Zambon family with this land, which, over the course of four generations of winemakers, has arrived at the present day with the personal interpretation of the territory made by Federico through the Vulcano project.

The Vulcano Project arises from Federico's vision of interpreting the lava-origin territory of Roncà as a unique entity from which to extract, through experimental methods both in the vineyard and in the cellar, the peculiarities that this area has to offer.
